What are Mario Party Jamboree unlockables?
While Super Mario Party Jamboree is jam-packed with content from the very beginning, there are still boards, game modes, characters, and more to unlock along the way. Not only does this give you a small sense of achievement each time you challenge your friends to a game, but it also stops you from getting overwhelmed when you boot up the game for the first time.
Mario Party Jamboree unlockable boards
There are three unlockable Mario Party Jamboree boards – Western Land, Mario’s Rainbow Castle, and King Bowser’s Keep. Here’s how to unlock all of them:
- Western Land – rank up to silver (level ten) on the player rewards track
- Mario’s Rainbow Castle – rank up to gold (level 20) on the player rewards track
- King Bowser’s Keep – rank up to diamond (level 30) on the player rewards track OR complete Party-Planner Trek and view the end credits
Mario Party Jamboree unlockable characters
Out of the massive roster of 22 playable Mario Party Jamboree characters, 20 are available to you at the start of the game, and only two of them are unlockable. These are Ninji from Super Mario Bros. 2, and Pauline from the original Donkey Kong, and more recently, Super Mario Odyssey.
Unlocking both Ninji and Pauline is really simple. All you have to do is look for them with the binoculars when you’re choosing which game mode to play, zoom in on them, and press A. Ninji is hiding out on a grassy rock near the Rhythm Kitchen Joy-Con-shaped island, and Pauline is relaxing by Minigame Bay.
Mario Party Jamboree unlockable game modes
With classic Mario Party, Koopathlon, Party-Planner Trek, and more, there are already plenty of Mario Party Jamboree game modes to keep you occupied, but if you want access to everything, we’re here to help.
There are three unlockable Mario Party Jamboree game modes. Here’s how to unlock them all:
How to unlock Pro Rules
All you need to do to unlock Pro Rules in Mario Party Jamboree is complete one game of Mario Party. The board, game length, and whether you win or lose don’t matter. Pro Rules add an extra layer of competition and strategy to the game, capping the match at 12 turns, deciding the bonus star ahead of time, and making some punishments harsher. Unlocking Pro Rules also lets you turn on minigame voting in Party Mode.
How to unlock Boss Rush
Each of the five original Mario Party Jamboree boards has its own boss minigame, which you encounter during Party-Planner Trek. To unlock all five boss minigames in Minigame Bay, you need to defeat the boss of the board in Party-Planner Trek. These are the boards and their corresponding boss minigames:
- Goomba Lagoon – Dragoneel Slayers
- Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party – Mega Stingy Stompers
- Roll ‘em Raceway – Boss Sumo Bro Blitzers
- Rainbow Galleria – Mega Rocky Wrench Wreckers
- King Bowser’s Keep – Bowser Crashers
How to unlock Classic Stars
If you prefer the classic Mario Party experience with only three types of bonus stars to compete for, we’ve got you covered there, too. You can unlock Classic Stars by reaching silver rank (level 20) on the player rewards track. That way, you can turn on Classic Stars so that your games only include the Event Star, Coin Star, and Minigame Star.
