Poppy Playtime’s Kissy Missy has to be among the best characters in the horror franchise. Unlike other toys, she’s one of the good ones, seeking to put an end to monstrous events that plague the factory – a stark contrast to her worse half, making you question the relationship between Kissy Missy and Huggy Wuggy. So let’s take a look at what you need to know about the pink, lanky lady.
As she makes her debut in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, playing a minor role, it’s a good idea to give our walkthrough guide a read, particularly if Poppy Playtime’s Mommy Long Legs is causing you problems. Or, should you still be stuck in the opening areas of the factory, our Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 article can help you survive Poppy Playtime’s Huggy Wuggy – now that’s a chase sequence that’ll stay with you for a while.

Who is Poppy Playtime’s Kissy Missy?
Kissy Missy is one of the toys from Playtime Co, and she’s the other half of Huggy Wuggy (the names probably give that away). It’s in 1985 that she first hits the market, just one year after Huggy Wuggy. Besides being a Playtime Co mascot, we don’t know too much about her.
Kissy Missy and Huggy Wuggy
As we mentioned, Kissy Missy and Huggy Wuggy are a pair. We’re yet to see them interact, and that’s highly unlikely given the demise of the Wugster in a tight squeeze, but since Playtime Co. creates Kissy Missy to be Huggy Wuggy’s other half, it’s safe to assume that there’s a relationship between the two toys. We’d go so far as to say these two likely had a relationship while they were still human. We have to admit, in toy form, one certainly seems more terrifying than the other.
What is Poppy Playtime Kissy Missy’s role in the story?
Kissy Missy shows up briefly to help you out in Chapter 2 as she pulls a lever that raises the gate that previously blocked your way forward (admittedly, we’re unsure how helpful this is considering how much Mommy Long Legs wants to kill us, but we’ll take what we can get in this hell hole). She disappears by the time the gate rises enough for you to get through. From this act, it appears as though she’s an ally. But make no mistake, Playtime Co experimented on her, too, so she’s organic and can think for herself. However, it’s evident that she’s still good at heart, or at least we think she is.
Following her disappearance after aiding us in A Fly in a Web, Kissy Missy reappears in Chapter 3, and, despite her initially throwing you to the floor after you first see her in Playcare, more specifically, in Home Sweet Home, it’s clear that she really is one of the good toys, as she lets you go after Poppy tells her that you’re “one of the good ones.”
Poppy Playtime Kissy Missy’s personality
Kissy is a kind, benevolent, and caring soul – for the most part. While we stand by those nice words about her, she does have a more ruthless side akin to that of her counterpart, Huggy Wuggy. While she helps you on numerous occasions, only attacking you once when she perceives you as a threat (quickly letting you go when Poppy tells her you’re good), she did play a role in The Hour of Joy.
However, we still consider her to be evil in the slightest. The poor toy snapped, killing the workers who were trying to move her to Playcare, though that’s all she does, as she returns to the gurney after dealing with them rather than going after innocent people. Something Mommy, Huggy, Boxy, Miss Delight, and CatNap can’t say, for they went all in on the massacre.
Poppy Playtime Kissy Missy appearances
So far, Kissy Missy has appeared in every chapter, though she’s only on posters in A Tight Squeeze. In Fly in a Web, she helps you out briefly before disappearing – you see her for about a minute – and then in Deep Sleep, she has a stronger presence, aiding Poppy Playtime’s Poppy as she tries to put an end to the terror plaguing the factory.
Is Kissy Missy dead?
Such a morbid question, but following the conclusion of Deep Sleep, it’s certainly a fair thing to ask. Now, if you ask us, we don’t think Kissy Missy is dead; in our minds, she’s too big a character to kill off-screen, but that’s not to say she isn’t in peril. We strongly suspect that the big bad of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, or even the Prototype himself, has kidnapped her and that we’re likely off on a rescue mission in the next chapter.
Will Kissy Missy be in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4?
Until we see a trailer or get our hands on Chapter 4, we can’t be certain about Kissy Missy’s involvement. However, we have strong reason to believe she is after the concluding events of Deep Sleep. It might just be wishful thinking, but we strongly suspect we’re about to embark on a rescue mission.
