Here are our picks for the best Lego games on Switch and mobile:
Lego Builder’s Journey – Switch and Mobile
Lego Builder’s Journey is a super chill and relaxing game with a hidden story. At its heart, this puzzle game is a coming-of-age story, but it’s done in a way that encourages creativity, all with a soundtrack that brings the experience together seamlessly.
Lego Builder’s Journey is available through Apple Arcade and is also on Nintendo Switch – whichever platform you choose, just know that you’re in for a fantastic time with one of the more unique Lego games.
Lego Star Wars: Castaways – Mobile
WILSON! Oh, wait, wrong galaxy. Right, just picture this: you’re traveling through unknown space, minding your own business, then bam, everything turns to black, and you wake up on a strange beach.
Soon enough, you become part of Lego Star Wars: Castaways’ civilization, and that’s where the fun begins. After creating your character and working through a tutorial, you have complete freedom. You can explore luscious blocky landscapes, forge friendships, go on adventures, and make a life for yourself here – or try to find a way off the planet.
If you’re still not convinced, our enlightening Lego Star Wars: Castaways review explains how fun this journey is, and it might just make you realize things you never knew about yourself.
Lego 2K Drive – Switch
Head off to Bricklandia and live out all of your racing dreams in Lego 2K Drive. In this game, you get to travel around a massive open world, build your own dream Lego car, and defeat your rivals in intense races for the coveted Sky Trophy.
You can even play Lego 2K Drive multiplayer both online and in split-screen mode, so you and your friends don’t need to stop the fun even when you’re apart. Our favorite part of the game is the massive amount of vehicle customization, allowing you to really show off your style to others.
Lego City: Undercover – Switch
It’s time for GTL – Grand Theft Lego – except, instead of playing as a criminal, you take on the role of Chase, an undercover cop who wants to make the world better by blocking up one criminal at a time. As noble as his intentions are, the state in which he leaves the city does make me question whether he’s the true villain, to be honest.
This is a fantastic Lego game, offering something a bit different since it’s not based on a famous IP. It’s a fresh idea that places you in a fantastic open world – even if it looks a bit like a wasteland with all the buildings you demolish.
Lego Jurassic World – Switch and Mobile
Lego dinosaurs. I don’t feel like I need to say anything else. As with every other Lego game, there’s an abundance of characters for you to collect. Best of all, Lego: Jurassic World lets you play as dinosaurs, which is far more appealing than playing as Chris Pratt.
Lego Jurassic World follows the plot of the movie, with a few changes to incorporate the traditional charm we all love about these titles. There’s so much content here that it’s a dino lover’s dream.
